Beijing-U.S.A. College of English was established in 1993 and it was approved by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. The college is an international, modern and comprehensive non-profit full-time institution which runs with the characteristics of foreign languages and professional skills education.

The college now has nearly 6,800 students, 400 teachers with tenures of “associate professor” and “professor” accounting for over 75 percent of the faculty and over 40 full-time foreign teachers，which compare well with one of the top institutions among the colleges at similar levels in Beijing.

College of English has 6 academic sub-schools: Business School, School of Translation & Interpretation, School of International Departments, School of Literature & Science, International School and Art School with more than 50 majors of regular college courses and occupational training, including literature, laws, technology, engineering, economics, management and arts etc.
